You don't see too many dogs, in China. Old men rather walk their crickets, with wooden cages. They take their little green friends with them, when they meet in parks or tea houses, or when doing their regular exercises in all kinds of places, early in the morning.
In Shanghai, crickets are for sale especially on flea markets. They say that you only get male crickets, as the sellers want to make sure that buyers don't start their own breeding business.
