Star Ferry Terminal, Central, Hong Kong No particular place to go

They came from the Philippines, and they work here in Hong Kong, usually as housemaids. If they have a day off, it will usually be on a Sunday. Pedestrian bridges, and other public places in Central, are pretty full then.
They play cards, talk and picnic, and some of them join spontaneous religious services, singing along to a guitar.

Next to them there are people whom you would see there, every day. Old people, Hong Kongers, who live on a rather small pension or welfare cheque which won't pay for a flat. The "Star Ferry" terminal at Central is their home.
